Getting to the top of Hafelekar mountain requires a 3 part journey starting with a tram and then two cable cars. To begin, we caught the tram at congress station (Rennweg 1 6020 Innsbruck Austria) in downtown Innsbruck here you pay for the full round trip journey to the top (36 Euro/person). The transition between the tram and the cable cars is easy to follow and you can get off at Seeborg (about 3/4th the way up) and hike around the area or even to the top! The views from the top of Hafelekar are stunning and there are several hiking trails to meander. This is also a popular spot for rock climbers.
